Environmental
Representation & Updates
FMPA
staff is available for environmental support for members.
Services include member representation; member and legal assistance;
training coordination; information distribution and updates;
and joint purchasing of common services. FMPA staff
also monitors legislative and regulatory activities at the
state and federal level. For additional information, contact

Environmental
Roundtable for Utility Personnel
FMPA coordinates a quarterly roundtable for members to exchange
environmental information. The purpose of the roundtable
is to provide a forum for environmental personnel to share
ideas concerning environmental regulatory and legislative
activity, technologies, controls, strategies and training.
Participants also discuss specific issues and concerns and
receive assistance from the group. The roundtable is
held quarterly, and all FMPA members are welcome to attend.

Environmental
Training Services
FMPA sponsors periodic training programs for members to address
common issues being faced by members. Training topics
presented in the past include PCB disposal and management,
Clean Air Act, hazardous waste management, Spill Prevention,
Control and Countermeasure plans, environmental spill response,
and Indoor Air
Quality and HVAC Efficiency. For information on upcoming

Environmental
Compliance Assistance
In
addition to monitoring and tracking environmental regulations
and their potential impact on members, FMPA Member Services
can provide members with assistance in understanding regulations. FMPA
can assist with reviewing a member’s current practices
to assist with compliance with environmental regulations
and requirements. In addition, for a more in-depth
review, Member Services can coordinate assistance from staff
from other member utilities to review policies, practices
and procedures to enhance environmental compliance efforts. Contact
