Blountstown Becomes FMPA's 30th Member Utility
ORLANDO, Fla., July 20, 2006 - The city of Blountstown,
Fla., today became the 30th member of the Florida Municipal
Power Agency.
Blountstown is located in northwest Florida in Calhoun County.
The city provides electric service to approximately 1,300
customers.
"We are very proud to become a member of FMPA," said
Blountstown City Manager Jimmy Hand. "It will give added
value to our customers being in unison with the other municipal
utilities in Florida."

FMPA," said Roger A. Fontes, FMPA's general manager
and CEO. "The growth of FMPA's membership over the years
shows that the Agency provides valuable services. It also
shows that Florida's municipal electric utilities recognize
