Kevin McCarthy, Treasurer

Kevin McCarthy is Utilities Director for the city of Clewiston, Fla., and he serves as the elected Treasurer of the Florida Municipal Power Agency.

McCarthy was elected as FMPA’s Treasurer in July 2006. He has served on FMPA’s Executive Committee and the Board of Directors since 2002.

McCarthy has served as Clewiston’s Utility Director since 2002. Prior to joining the city of Clewiston, he served 14 years as the owner and manager of Glades Gas Company.

McCarthy serves as Immediate Past President of Florida Municipal Electric Association, and has been a member of the organization since 2002. He also serves as a Hendry County Commissioner since 2002, and he was previously a Clewiston City Commissioner for six years.

McCarthy holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
