Matt Brower

Matt Brower is the City Manager for the city of Ocala, Fla., and he serves as the elected Vice Chairman of the Florida Municipal Power Agency Executive Committee.
Brower was re-elected as FMPA's Executive Committee Vice Chairman in July 2011. He has served as an alternate, and now member, of FMPA's Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee since October 2008. Brower was also appointed to FMPA's Governance Committee in February 2009 and became a founding member of the All-Requirements Project Business Model Working Group in May 2009.
Brower has worked for the city of Ocala since 2008 when he was hired as the Assistant City Manager. He was named city manager in 2011. Prior to joining the city of Ocala, he served nine years as City Manager of Santa Clara City, Utah, and he previously served as an administrative assistant to the City Manager of Newnan, Ga., and a management intern in Lynn Haven, Fla.
Brower is a member of the American Public Power Association, and in 2011, received the Robert E. Roundtree Rising Star Award. He is also a member of the International City Management Association. Brower holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and a master's degree from The Florida State University.
