Joint Purchasing
The Joint Purchase Project enables members to enjoy the benefits of bulk purchasing of services, materials, supplies, and equipment used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.
The bidding process typically takes a couple of weeks to a couple of months to complete. Through the Joint Purchase Project, FMPA coordinates this process, which includes advertising, bid preparation, bid review and bid selection. Bids are only accepted from approved manufacturers. Vendors and potential bidders are encouraged to attend a quarterly Joint Purchase Project meeting to learn more.
