T&D Related Services
Transmission and distribution is a key infrastructure for electrical power. Services in the T&D area focus on ways to provide a safe and reliable source of electricity to FMPA's member cities.
The Lineman's Roundtable provides a forum for crews to exchange ideas on common issues
FMPA coordinates a semi-annual meeting for linemen at member utilities. The purpose of the roundtable is to provide a forum for crews to exchange ideas on operating practices, safety, training, tools and equipment, and any other common issues. This meeting is typically held at a member’s facility and participation is free.
The Distribution Reliability Measurement Program compares distribution reliability data with other members and investor-owned utilities
FMPA offers a Distribution Reliability Reporting system that allows our members to compare their own Distribution Reliability to that of other FMPA members, as well as to investor-owned utilities. Participants submit data monthly via e-mail on an electronic report form provided by FMPA. FMPA collects the data from the participating members and issues a monthly Distribution Reliability Report to all participants. Data is compiled into an annual report, which includes investor-owned utility data as reported to the Public Service Commission.
