Cane Island Expansion Works With Florida Contractors

The owners of the Cane Island Power Park are committed to maximizing the positive impacts the plant’s expansion can have on the community and the region.

Part of that commitment means working with Florida contractors, especially local businesses, whenever possible. The Cane Island Unit 4 construction project recently contracted with more than a dozen different Central Florida companies, including: ABB Inc., Airgas South, CMC Steel Fabricators, Crane Rental Inc., Hertz Equipment Rental, H&E Equipment Services, Kirk’s Ice Service, Neff Rental, Palmer Feed Store, RSC Equipment Rental, Sherwin Williams, Siles and Sons Inc., Terracon Consultants Inc., Tri-Tech, and United Rentals.

Altogether, the project has spent more than $12 million at more than two dozen Florida businesses. This positive impact on the local and regional economies is one of the many ways Cane Island Power Park is giving back to the community.
