Don’t Forget to Join Us at Our Vendor Fair Tomorrow
The owners of the Cane Island Power Park are committed to maximizing the positive impacts the plant’s expansion can have on the community and the region. Part of that commitment means working with Florida contractors, especially local businesses, whenever possible.
Our engineering, procurement and construction contractor, Zachry Industrial Incorporated, is planning a vendor fair for Florida businesses tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express, which is located at 4050 Hotel Drive, Davenport, Fla. 33897 (at the intersection of I-4 and Highway 27).
The project is looking to hire vendors for services including but not limited to: miscellaneous sundries and supplies, lumber, auto parts, coffee service, fire extinguisher service, landscaping, office supplies, paving, catering, and printing. Prospective vendors may contact Zachry’s Fred Crowson at (321) 697-1500 for more information.
The Cane Island Unit 4 construction project has already contracted with more than a dozen different Central Florida companies, including: ABB Inc., Airgas South, CMC Steel Fabricators, Crane Rental Inc., Hertz Equipment Rental, H&E Equipment Services, Kirk’s Ice Service, Neff Rental, Palmer Feed Store, RSC Equipment Rental, Sherwin Williams, Siles and Sons Inc., Terracon Consultants Inc., Tri-Tech, and United Rentals.
Altogether, the project has spent more than $12 million at more than two dozen Florida businesses. This positive impact on the local and regional economies is one of the many ways Cane Island Power Park is giving back to the community.
